The ICDT has completed the interviews necessary for the preparation of the project titled “The Establishment and Exercise of Political and Civilian Control over the Hungarian Defence Forces since the Regime Change: From the Abolition of the Political Commissar System to Zrínyi 2026.”
As a preview, we are making available the interviews conducted with Defence Minister Dr. Tibor Benkő, General Ferenc Korom, and Walt Slocombe, former U.S. Under Secretary of Defense.
As part of the project, we plan to publish the resulting report as a book and to hold a conference.
